Bill Rollins Obituary

Mr. William “Bill” Rollins, age 69, of Uvalda, died Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at his home, after a sudden illness. He was a native of Johnsons Corner and spent most of his life in Uvalda. He was the owner and operator of Rollins Trucking for fifty years. After retirement, he worked for Tar Land and Timber and most recently, Alston Saw Shop. Mr. Rollins was a member of the Uvalda City Council, loved NASCAR and dirt track racing, and spending time with his family at the lake. He was preceded in death by wife Phyllis Foskey Rollins; parents, Albert and Hattie Rollins; one sister and three brothers.

Mr. Rollins is survived by his son, Kyle Rollins of Uvalda; two sisters, Angie Bragg and husband Calvin of Metter; and Rhonda Edenfield of Ailey; three grandchildren, Cameron Rollins, Kylan Rollins, and Conner Rollins; and his special nephew and buddy, Thad Williamson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

The funeral service will be held Friday, January 5th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Wilkes Funeral Home with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating. The burial will follow in Conner Cemetery in Uvalda.
