Cornelia "Connie" (Morrison) Stanford

Cornelia 'Connie' Morrison Stanford, of Conyers passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the age of 84.  She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Murlie Morrison and sister Elizabeth Pilgrim.  She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jim Stanford; daughters, Jenny and Alan Akin and April Stanford; son Neal and Melinda Stanford; grandchildren, Daniel and Kelsey Stanford, Katie and Robby Tombrello, and Lydia Akin;  great-grandchildren, Addison and Holden and 2 more on the way.  Mrs. Stanford loved music and playing the piano and also sang in the choir at Conyers Presbyterian Church.  She loved animals, but most of all, she loved her family. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Conyers Presbyterian Church with Pastor Kevin Hicks officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm prior to the service.  Interment will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11 AM at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Georgia.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
