Mrs. Dorene James, age 83, of Glenwood, died March 14, 2023, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, after a sudden illness. She was a native of Blairsville and spent most of her life in Vidalia before moving to Glenwood in 2022. She was a homemaker and absolutely loved cats. Dorene was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas James; her parents, Hobart and Elizabeth Botts; and ten siblings.
Mrs. James’ loved ones include her three nephews, Doyle Botts of Calhoun, Darrell Botts and wife Vicky of Calhoun, and Dwight Botts and wife Teresa of Dalton; and three nieces, Michelle Botts of Cartersville, Christie Turner and husband Tony of Cartersville, and Rose Smith of Blue Ridge.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
