Mr. Hilton Franklin Butler, age 88, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023. He was born in Glenwood, Georgia on January 30, 1935, to the late Otis and Fanny Butler. After graduating from Glenwood High School, he married his wife Betty Wilcher Butler on May 21, 1954, and the two moved to Florida. Mr. Butler served his country as a Private First Class in the United States Army. He owned Manufacturers Miami Warehouse Internal Auto Parts Wholesale for 35 years. He also worked for the Department of Transportation for St. Lucie County for over 20 years. He enjoyed being a car mechanic, working in the yard, hunting, spending time with his children and grandchildren, going to see family in Georgia, and serving Jesus through his church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wilcher Butler; two sisters, Margaret Paul and Colleen Butler; and one brother, Bobby Butler.
Mr. Butler’s surviving loved ones include three daughters, Sue Hendershot and husband Todd, Sherri Varn and husband Myron, and Tammy Butler; five grandchildren, Janelle and Joshua Hendershot, Lillian Varn, and Christian and Katie Duelz; and one great-grandson, Victor Duelz.
A service will be held to celebrate his life on Saturday, May 6th at 2:00 p.m. at Stuckey Baptist Church in Glenwood.
