Jackie (Padgett) Oliver

Ms. Jacquline “Jackie” Padgett Oliver, age 76 of Vidalia, died Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia. She was a native of Tattnall County and lived many years of her life in Mount Vernon before moving to Vidalia. She loved serving others in her job as a hairdresser and also made a significant impact working for various businesses in town. She was Baptist by faith and a lifelong member of Pineview Baptist Church in Reidsville. She was a member of the Moose Lodge as well as The Veterans of Foreign Wars. Ms. Jackie was a people person who loved live music, dancing, cooking, fishing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doy and Alma Padgett; two sisters, Joan Thompson and Joyce Padgett; and two brothers, Jerry Padgett and Edwin Padgett.

Ms. Jackie is survived by one son, Bryant Oliver and Wife Renee of Ailey; two daughters, Ramona Wilson and Husband Andrew of Germany, and Gayla Pollett and Husband Ashley of Norristown; seven grandchildren, Derek Sharpton and wife Ashlee, Austin Oliver and wife Elizabeth, Brianna Pearce and husband David, Drew Wilson and wife Belkis, Allison Oliver, Jada Pollett and fiance Donnie White, and Joyanna Wilson; five great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Anniston, Clay, Taft, and Ralphie; one brother, Johnny Padgett and wife Melissa of Eden; one sister, Gloria Major of Toombs County; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the chapel of Wilkes Funeral Home on Monday morning from 9:00am until just prior to the service.

A graveside service will be held Monday, September 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Andrew Wilson officiating.
