JoAnn Moseley Obituary

Mrs. JoAnn (Sikes) Moseley, age 93, of the Five Points Community, died Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation in Lyons. She was a lifelong resident of the Five Points Community and she retired as a seamstress from Metter Manufacturing. She was Baptist by faith and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She loved her family more than anything, and is affectionately described by them as “the perfect granny.” JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Annie Sikes; her beloved husband, James Edward Moseley; two sons, Eddie Moseley and Donald Ray Moseley; one brother, Charles Sikes; one sister, Betty Drake; and one son-in-law, Johnny McCullough.

JoAnn is survived by her two daughters, Margaret McCullough of Cobbtown, and Tammy Moreno and husband Skip of Oak Park; one special sister-in-law, Uldine “Kinkie” Moseley; one daughter-in-law, Ann Moseley of Elkhart, Texas; eleven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 12th at Mt. Zion Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. until just prior to the service.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Hightower and Pastor Clint Fasciano officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607, or a charity of your choice. 

The family would like to say a special thank you to Shannon and the staff of Affinis Hospice as well as Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation for their compassionate care.
