John William Wilson

Mr. John William Wilson, age 58, of Lyons, died October 21, 2023 at his home. He was a native of Wapello, Iowa and lived most of his life there before moving to Lyons. John worked as a fabricator for Curtis Components in Lyons. He had a big heart and would do anything for anyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Frances Wilson; one brother, Bill Wilson; two sisters, Laurie Wilson and Marsha Wilson; and one nephew, Josh Wilson.

John is survived by three daughters, Marlana Wilson and husband Shain Ibbotson, Kirah Wilson and fiance Nelson, and Kari Wilson, all of Wapello, Iowa; one brother, Donnie Wilson of Muscatine, Iowa; four grandchildren, Robert Ross Jr., Isis Ross, Charles Wilson, and Gabriella Wilson, one nephew, John Turner of Wapello, Iowa; and a cousin, Mary Clayton of Wapello, Iowa.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
