Kenneth David Meeks

Mr. Kenneth David Meeks, age 61 of Uvalda, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on June 25, 2023 at his home. He was born on June 20, 1962 in Independence, Louisiana to the late Henry Kenneth and Mable Meeks. He graduated from Telfair High School in 1978 and was a retired long haul truck driver of 40 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael Shawn Meeks; one step-son, Clifford Lee Beasley; two sisters, Bonnie Johnson and Brenda Dubberly and husband Johnny; and two brothers, Bobby and Darren Meeks.

Mr. Meeks is survived by his devoted wife of forty-four years, Martha June Beasley Meeks; his son, Christopher David Meeks and partner Amber Evans; his sister, Mary Calhoun and husband Benny; his brother-in-law, David Johnson; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private celebration of life in memory of David on Saturday, July 1st, 2023 at 06:00 pm at Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City.
