Myrtle Rogers (Dukes) Larson

Mrs. Myrtle Dukes Rogers Larson, age 83, of Lake City, Florida, died February 6, 2023 at Haven - Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center following a brief illness. She was a native of Vidalia and spent most of her life in Columbia County, Florida. She worked as a caregiver sitting with the elderly and was Pentecostal by faith. Mrs. Myrtle enjoyed attending church, reading the Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, J.K. Rogers; second husband, Lawrence Larson; and three sons, Gregory Martin Rogers, Terry Marshall Rogers, and Gordon Dean Rogers.

Mrs. Myrtle’s loved ones include two sons, Jonathan Kelly Rogers and wife April, and Henry Dawson Rogers, all of Lake City, Fl; one daughter, Bonnie Ruth Radford of Lake City, Fl; eleven grandchildren, Jocelyn Rogers, Michelle Shishler and husband Steven, Douglas Shishler and wife Barbara, John Michael McHaffie Radford, Kelley Niccole Norman and husband Michael, Allysa Kelly Barnette and husband Case, Justin Kyle Rogers and wife Briana, Trayson Rogers, Britany Rogers, Matthew Radford, and Dylan Rogers-Brown, and numerous great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Wilkes Funeral Home on Saturday, February 11th at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Gary Dukes officiating. The burial will follow in Harden’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 until just prior to the service.
