Richard Leonard Harris

Mr. Richard Leonard Harris, age 29, of Milan, died Friday, August 25, 2023, as the result of an altercation at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Milan, was a self-employed mechanic, and loved fishing and hunting with his friends. Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and Andrew Harris, Sr., one aunt, Mizel Godsey; and one nephew, Cory Godsey.

Mr. Harris surviving loved ones include, his father, Andrew “Andy” Harris with Kelly Hulett; is mother, Leona Bass and husband Terrance; his best friend, Maze Gilder; two sisters, Christy Lynn Harris Yawn and husband Daniel, and Helen Letisha Dowdy; one brother, Andrew Leo Harris III all of Milan; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon, September 6th at New Life Christian Church at 21 Fern Road in Jacksonville, Georgia from 12:00 until 2:00.

The graveside service will follow in the family cemetery with Reverend Darrell Barlow officiating.
