Ms. Sylvia Vasquez Delarosa, age 74, of Lyons, died Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation in Lyons following an extended illness. She was a native of Texas and had lived the last 25 years of her life in Lyons. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Teresa Vasquez.
Ms. Delarosa is survived by one son, Oscar Espinoza and wife Blanca of Vidalia; three daughters, Sandra Ventura and Sonya Torres and husband Frank Lopez, all of Corpus Christi, TX, and Maribel Rodriguez and husband Jose of Lyons; one brother, Samuel Vasquez of Brownsville, TX; two sisters, Estella Alvarez of Brownsville, TX, and Maria Medrano of Corpus Christi, TX; 14 grandchildren, Charlie Torres, Christopher Lopez, Naria Lopez, Deeanna Lopez, Oscar, Michael, Randy, and Ashley Espinoza, Alex, Jennifer, Giovanni, Daleyzza, Natalie, and Jesse Rodriguez; and 6 great-grandchildren, Jake Ryan, Arabella, Zaylan, and Cole Peralta, Daniel Gonzalez, and Gabriel Gonzalez.
No services will be held at this time.
